I forwarded this recipe to my Thanksgiving hostess in time and she made it - we declared it Insane With The Yum, which is the very highest accolade possible!

I see you're not posting any more, and speculate it's got something to do with that baby you were expecting! I'll be having this pie again this year (but with hazelnuts in the crust, and more of a tart crust than a tall pie crust) and hope you have a lovely holiday this year.

Aww, thanks!  I hope yours is great too!  The hazelnut tart crust sounds divine!  I'm trying a pumpkin pie with pecan-gingersnap topping this year - maybe I'll get around to posting about it someday... you are right, my little boy (born in late July) keeps me pretty busy!
